Community Support Makes Our Hearts Sing
Have you ever wondered what I can do to help my community?
Everyone at the Collins Home appreciates all the many ways our local community helps us with their loving and giving hearts.

I so appreciate the heart of our community. We have many needs, but thankfully, we have many loving, caring people in this world. It's hard for caring people to see others suffering from addiction, poverty, and dear to our hearts, children without caring and loving homes.
Praying for our children, their families; and our staff daily...this is one of the most important ways you can support the Collins Home.
Collins Home has been actively involved in helping children & families in the community for over 40 years. We provide a “home” for children who are unable to live with their families. Some of you have toured our campus. (For those of you that have not, give me a call, I’d love to tell you more about our home.)
When you visit us, you see the genuine heart we have for our kids and that our kids aren’t in a dark dismal ‘group home’ but in a large home with lots of laughter, noise, and love.

4 Simple Ways You Can Help
When people ask me, "what can I do to help?" I tell them there are 4 simple ways they can help the children at the Collins Home.
Pray: Pray for our children, their families, and staff daily…this is one of the most important ways you can support Collins Home.
Volunteer: The possibilities for volunteerism with Collins Home are never-ending! What you do as a volunteer, whether giving a day or an hour, is time well spent.
Current Volunteer Opportunities include:
Help with campus lawn care/maintenance needs (mowing, weed-eating, pressure washing, etc.)
Host a drive for items on our Needs List (food, cleaning supplies, clothing, etc.)
Sponsor a child…birthday, spring/summer or back to school clothing, PJ’s, $10 GC to Wal-Mart, etc.
Cook a meal

Charitable Giving: Our mission challenges us to serve children based on their needs, not their family’s ability to pay. Generous individuals, churches, and organizations provide the financial support necessary to continue serving the children and families in our care.
Shop and Donate at our thrift store: (located at 504 W.N. 1st Street, Seneca). Our Thrift Store is more than just a store, it’s a ministry too. Although we opened our store to raise money for the children’s home, we also help in our community. Not only are Cece and Teresa quick to pray for our wonderful patrons, but we’ve also helped families whose homes have burned, grandparents on fixed incomes unexpectedly caring for grandchildren, and when families lost their homes during the tornado.
We believe as we bless others, God will, in turn, bless us. Join us and be a child advocate for the children at the Collins Children's Home.
