All Proceeds of the Sale of Donated Items Benefit  the Collins Children's Home

Are you ready to free up space in your home? 

Or is it time to move on from that outfit you know you will never wear?

At the Collins Children's Home - Thrift Store, we will gladly accept your gently used items. 

Here is the best part, we'll help you by taking over the items you no longer need and...

you can feel good knowing the proceeds from the sale of your items will help provide a safe and loving home to hurting children. Plus provide family outreach services in our community.

 

 
 
 
 
 
Donation drop-off:  Donations can be dropped off during store hours or left in the dropbox outside of our store after store hours.
 
Donations are accepted Tuesday–Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm. Staff/volunteers will provide a receipt for tax purposes.

 

Request a pick-up:  To schedule a pick-up of furniture or other large items, call (864) 882-4250

 

We will find a time that works for you and us. Please note the day and time will be based on the availability of our staff or volunteers.  

 

What gently-used items does the Collins Children's Home - Thrift Store accept as donations?  

 

(All donations are tax-deductible.) :

  • Furniture – sofas, chairs, dressers, tables, lamps, bookcases, rugs, mirrors, chests, office furniture, vintage, and antique pieces

  • Appliances – electric washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, microwaves, blenders, mixers, food processors, toasters, toaster ovens, and coffee makers (Please be sure items are working.)

  • Clothing – all types and accessories

  • Housewares – dishes, silverware, glassware, books, pots, pans and china

  • Knickknacks – collectibles and figurines

  • Art – paintings, photography, and sculptures

  • Jewelry – earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, watches and cuff links

  • Electronics – stereo equipment, computer equipment, DVD players, CD players, VCRs, fax machines, printers, and telephone systems—all in good, working condition; later-model working TVs

  • Vehicles – cars, trucks, boats, and RVs

  • Sports equipment – football, baseball, hockey, golf, tennis, basketball and exercise equipment

  • Paper or plastic grocery bags (We will reuse them at the register)

Collins Home is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides a residential home for children between the ages of birth – 21 who have been abused, abandoned, neglected or are otherwise unable to live with their families.
